- Which entries are candidates?
- Detection starts with non-ASCII names without a UTF-8 flag. Only names with original bytes that change when decoded as Shift_JIS are included.
- Entries without original filename bytes are excluded. A new collision between names blocks the operation.
- This does not repair damaged directory metadata or entry contents. The screen does not offer password-based rebuilding of retained encrypted entries.
